1. Who These Terms Are With
These terms are between you and Alki Labs Ltd (“Alki Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) for your use of the Pump & Plug mobile application and related services.

By using Pump & Plug, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Pump & Plug Provides
Pump & Plug helps UK drivers search for fuel forecourts and EV charge points, compare available data, save favourites, plan journey stops, and hand off directions to navigation apps.
The app may include:
- nearby fuel and charging search;
- list and map views;
- station and charge-point details;
- favourites;
- trip planning;
- external navigation handoff;
- optional Pump & Plug Plus subscription features;
- ads for free users;
- CarPlay and Android Auto features where available and approved.
Pump & Plug is an information and convenience tool. It is not a fuel retailer, charge-point operator, navigation provider, emergency service, roadside assistance provider, or payment processor for fuel or charging sessions.
3. Eligibility And Safe Use
You must use Pump & Plug lawfully and safely.
Do not interact with the app while driving unless it is safe and legal to do so. Use hands-free, vehicle-integrated, or passenger operation where appropriate. Always follow road laws, signage, conditions, and instructions from navigation providers and site operators.
You are responsible for deciding whether a route, stop, fuel product, charging connector, price, or facility is suitable for your journey.
4. Data Is Informational And May Be Wrong
Fuel prices, charging information, opening hours, amenities, connector details, availability, distance, route estimates, and map results can be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.
Reasons include:
- source-data delays or errors;
- site operators changing prices or availability;
- GPS or map inaccuracies;
- mobile network outages;
- third-party API limits or downtime;
- cached or fallback data being used.
You should confirm important details with the forecourt, charge-point operator, navigation provider, or site signage before relying on them. Alki Labs is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate or unavailable third-party data, except where the law does not allow us to exclude responsibility.
5. Free Version, Ads, And Personalised Ads Choice
The free version of Pump & Plug may show banner ads. Plus users do not see ads while Plus is active.
Free users can choose whether to allow personalised ads. If you decline, the app will still show ads but will request non-personalised ads where supported.
Advertising is provided through third-party ad networks, currently Google AdMob. Ads may link to third-party products or services. We are not responsible for third-party ads, websites, apps, or purchases.
6. Pump & Plug Plus
Pump & Plug Plus is an optional subscription that may unlock features such as:
- removing ads;
- additional filters;
- saved preferences and personalisation;
- expanded trip-planning options;
- CarPlay or Android Auto features where supported and approved;
- other features shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Available features may vary by platform, device, operating-system version, country, app-store rules, entitlement approval, and third-party service availability.
7. Subscription Billing, Renewal, And Cancellation
Plus subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. The store provider handles payment, renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and billing details.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to the relevant store rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Prices, trial availability, renewal terms, and product names are shown in the store purchase flow. If there is a conflict between these terms and the store purchase screen, the store purchase screen controls the billing transaction.
We use RevenueCat to manage Plus entitlement status and restore purchases inside the app.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
8. Refunds
Refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Alki Labs cannot directly refund purchases processed by those stores unless the relevant store flow allows it.
9. Accounts
At the date of this draft, Pump & Plug does not provide an Alki Labs account, login, or user profile system.
If account features are added later, we may introduce additional terms covering account security, identity, deletion, and misuse.
10. Third-Party Services
Pump & Plug depends on third-party services, which may include:
- Apple App Store and Google Play;
- Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, and device navigation apps;
- Google Maps SDK and map services;
- Google AdMob;
- RevenueCat;
- Sentry;
- Mixpanel;
- Open Charge Map;
- fuel-price data services and our backend hosting providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their systems, data, availability, or decisions.
11. CarPlay And Android Auto
CarPlay and Android Auto features, where available, are intended to reduce distraction and provide limited vehicle-compatible interactions.
Availability depends on platform approval, vehicle/head-unit compatibility, operating-system support, app-store review, Plus status if gated, and local laws. We may change, suspend, or remove car-surface features if required by Apple, Google, safety requirements, or product decisions.
12. Notifications And Background Features
The app may include notification or background-refresh features, such as CarPlay-connected location refresh or favourite price alerts, where supported by the device and enabled by you.
Notifications are not guaranteed to arrive, may be delayed, and should not be used as the sole basis for travel, purchasing, charging, or safety decisions.
13. Your Responsibilities
You must not:
- misuse the app or attempt to disrupt it;
- scrape, bulk download, reverse engineer, or resell app data except where law
allows; - use the app to break road, safety, platform, or data-provider rules;
- attempt to bypass Plus subscriptions, ads, technical limits, or access
controls; - submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, or confidential third-party information
through feedback or support channels.
14. Intellectual Property
Pump & Plug, the app design, branding, software, and original content are owned by Alki Labs Ltd or licensed to us.
You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the app-store rules.
Third-party data, maps, logos, software libraries, and services remain owned by their respective providers.
15. Updates And Changes
We may update the app to improve features, fix issues, change providers, comply with law or store rules, or remove unsupported functionality.
Some features may stop working if you do not install updates, if your operating system is unsupported, or if a third-party service changes or becomes unavailable.
16. Suspension Or Termination
We may suspend or stop providing the app or specific features if:
- required by law, app-store rules, or third-party providers;
- needed for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, or product changes;
- you materially breach these terms.
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Cancelling a Plus subscription must be done through the relevant app-store subscription settings.
17. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, Pump & Plug is provided for personal, non-commercial use and is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. We are not responsible for:
- inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable third-party data;
- decisions you make based on app information;
- third-party navigation, charging, fuel, payment, map, advertising, or store
services; - loss caused by using the app while driving unsafely or unlawfully;
- loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
If you use Pump & Plug for business purposes, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, and loss of business opportunity to the fullest extent permitted by law.
18. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. You should read it alongside these terms.
19. App Store Terms
Your use of Pump & Plug is also subject to the rules of the app store from which
you downloaded it.
For iOS, Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these
terms to the extent required by Apple’s standard app terms, and Apple may
enforce those terms against you where applicable.
20. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory
consumer law gives you rights in another country of the UK or another place
where you live.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory
rights you have to bring claims in your local courts.
21. Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms when the app, company details, subscriptions,
providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be made available
in the app, website, or app-store listing as appropriate.
